Facebook Business for Beginners

Over 1.3 billion people use Facebook to stay connected. Build your audience and gain deeper understanding of your customers using a Facebook Business page. A Facebook page will help you increase awareness of your business and/or service. This platform allows you to develop relationships and stay connected with clients, customers and partners. This 1.5 hour workshop is a quick introduction to the benefits of having a Facebook page for your business, how to set up a Facebook business page and how to advertise effectively on Facebook.

Kendra Edwards is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa with Honours specialization in Communications. Her studies included an in depth understanding of audience research, public relations, advertising techniques, Uses of New Media and hands-on video production. She currently works for 4elements Living Arts as the Community Programs assistant and her duties range from administration, coordination and event planner. She has increased the business social media presence through the use of modern platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Mailchimp.

Best for participants to have personal facebook accout created before business page is created. There are limitations without one.

Participants are required to bring: laptop, business logo image, 3 or more images for their business (e.g. picture of product, graphics, logo, store front)
