“The Youth Entrepreneurship Skills (YES) Project has been designed to empower young entrepreneurs in Northern Ontario with the tools, skills, and experiences necessary to create powerful and effective business plans to implement their small business ventures and create self-employment opportunities. With a focus on market research, marketing, operations, financial reporting, and identifying sources of funding, the YES Project strives to create professional networks of support to serve participants as they work toward creating sustainable self-employment opportunities in our northern communities.
Youth Entrepreneurship Skills Project Manager, Norman Michel, will discuss how not for profit organizations and social entrepreneurs can apply the business plan format to clearly identify sources of revenue and create efficient and effective not for profit ventures.
Norman Michel has more than twenty years of experience as a successful entrepreneur is Sault Ste. Marie, owning and operating his own home inspection business. Most recently, he has worked to share his knowledge and experience as an instructor at Sault College and as Project Manager of the Youth Entrepreneurship Skills (YES) Project, providing business plan training for Northern Ontario’s young entrepreneurs.”
